Greetings all -
I haven't posted here, lately, but I've been writing and thinking and drawing. Now, I've got something tangible to show for my work...
It is with deepest gratitude that I now announce the publication of "Strange Bedfellows - A Cautionary Tale for Times of Global Change". It is the retelling of an amazingly detailed, epic dream that came to me unexpectedly in 1992. Dreaming this story was like watching an intricate and fully developed feature film -- it was awesome, even a little intimidating. And I've worked on and off, for the past 15 years, to manage to get it into print in a format that fully conveys the breadth and depth of the story behind it.
It's an epic tale that belongs to us all. I am simply the steward of its message, and I give thanks for all the assistance I've had in making this into a reality. The work of women everywhere, the lives of women everywhere, the great sustenance and power of Mama Gaia, have all made this task as much play as it has been work -- but it has been work. No doubt.

About Strange Bedfellows (from the book cover)
Everything is going great for Paul and Christina. Their careers are fast-tracking them to success, they're moving up in society, and their future prospects are excellent. They take what they desire from the world around them and live life to the fullest. Everyone and everything around them reinforces their entitlement, and they have no reason to question their right to do what they please, when they please, to whomever they please.
But when a strange and horrifying incident takes place in their home, their lives are turned upside-down. In the blink of an eye, everything they've worked so hard for is at risk.
What will they do, when a grisly guest appears out of nowhere? Will they have the courage to make the changes necessary to restore right relationship to their world? And how will they save themselves from a horrible fate they have helped to create?
"Strange Bedfellows" is a cautionary tale for our times, a retelling of an epic, intricately detailed dream Kay Stoner received in 1992. This is a story of truth and consequence... entitlement and impoverishment... conscious choice and change... and the hazards of being motivated by self-centered fear and short-sighted ignorance.
"Strange Bedfellows" can be purchased online here: www.lulu.com/content/66612
Proceeds from these sales benefit women who make earth stewardship a priority in their lives.
I hope you'll pay a visit to "Strange Bedfellows" at Lulu -- www.lulu.com/content/66612 and consider the messages within. This is a story we all need to work through -- for the good of our planet and the hope of our children.

I pay attention now when this woman, my friend Kay, speaks or writes
Wed, November 14, 2007 - 5:40 AMI want to say something of Kay and I have not written here in a long time either. I have not read this book yet although I plan to. I also plan to order a book that she wrote that will help me journal my perimenopause experience in a date book! And she has offered from her big heart a portion of the profits for this book Strange Bedfellows to benefit some of the women's work that I am holding down as a visionary ~ Red Tent Temple Movement, Women's Belly and Womb Conferences, Daughters of the Earth Gatherings, .... to begin with. But me showing up here is actually accidental and synchronistic.
So Kay.
It is I believe 2002 but the years go here and there so quickly that I cannot be sure. I am on a touring bus with a group of people that I will be with for some weeks led by Kay's partner. We are in England and will be going to ancient stone sites of Avesbury, Stonehenge and more. We will also go to Glastonbury where we will be singing with Shawna Carol, opening the wonderful Goddess Conference that happens there every summer. I know Kay but not well at that time yet as she was like a present that I had not opened up yet. She is quiet but actually when you get to know her, very loud inside. She is now one of the teachers that I bring together for Daughters of the Earth Gathering and her class (as I knew it would) was so jammed packed last summer with women that they did feel like sardines in the space. They were eager to learn from her because she speaks from a deep well on things that matter most to us women.
Anyhow, I am on this busride and we find ourselves together for some hours. Well, one thing about Kay is that when you have the time to find out what she knows, what she is thinking, what is important to her, you discover that she is holding gems, literally. I sat in complete rapture while she explained to me in living color about sacred geometry, history, possibility with true promise, all with a passion that was breathtaking to behold. And there is this gleam in her eye all the while. I felt transported. But then when the ride came to a destination, when my last question was asked, there she was again, with still the gleam in her eye, ready, anticipatory of all the magic that life absolutely brings, being the quiet woman with glasses among many talkative people.
Women warriors, I don't know what is in this book but I can pretty much tell you that this woman harbors some riches and one might pass them by not thinking that it is important. Knowing Kay, I think truthfully, she wouldn't write it if it didn't offer us a kind of map, some liberation, and a hell of a lot to reflect on although this is not to say that she is not really fun too. So I am glad that she wrote to you and my synchronistic passing by from a long time of not visiting (hi Kay), is simply to say, ya, speak to us Kay because we are the humans enduring times of global change.
This tale comes from a dream. I do believe that she indeed is one who gets spoken to! Hey maybe I will put this on her testimonial site. Blessings to all.
